Student Nursing Program and CFY Mentor Program

Student Nursing Program

Our Student Nursing Program aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application by connecting students to clinical and educational opportunities in the pediatric home health space. We understand that nursing school provides a strong foundation in theory and practice, but there's nothing quite like hands-on experience to solidify your knowledge and skills. That's where we come in.

We’ve partnered with nursing schools throughout Texas to provide an opportunity for students to gain practical experience that directly aligns with their coursework. We believe in the power of experiential learning, and our program is tailored to provide you with the direct exposure needed to excel in the field of pediatric home healthcare. You'll have the chance to put your classroom knowledge to use in real-life scenarios, shadowing our experienced clinical team, and building your confidence.

CFY Mentor Program

Our Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Mentor Program offers recent speech therapy graduates the invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience, guidance, and mentorship from seasoned professionals in the field. With a structured curriculum, interprofessional collaboration, ongoing support, and a focus on patient-centered care, our CFY program equips aspiring speech therapists with the skills and knowledge they need to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children facing speech and communication challenges.

Our CFY participants play a pivotal role in pediatric speech therapy. They assess and evaluate children's speech and language needs, design and implement tailored interventions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. Thorough documentation, family education, and ethical practice are integral to their role. CFY participants receive ongoing mentorship, engage in continuing education, and adapt therapy to individual needs, all while prioritizing patient-centered care. By actively contributing to these responsibilities, participants not only gain valuable clinical experience but also empower children to overcome speech and communication challenges, helping them reach their full potential.
